How Much Have The Liberals Recovered? (with David Coletto)

Scrimshaw Show, Feauturing Abacus' CEO

David Coletto was nice enough to hop on the Scrimshaw Show this week. We discussed the newly competitive (or is it?) Federal landscape, pollster modes and why we’re seeing big differences, whether or not a huge swing this fast is plausible, whether Poilievre is on the back foot to some extent, the NDP’s bad polls and to what extent Jagmeet Singh is in trouble, how the Trump tariffs might change things, and briefly talked about whether Doug Ford’s early election gambit will blow up in his face or not.

I’m going to be posting the politics episodes of the Scrimshaw Show here moving forward, in addition to on my YouTube channel (I’m working on Spotify and Apple for hopefully next week’s show). Coletto was a great guest and it’s absolutely wild to me that he is willing to give his time up for my enterprise here.

Anyways, show the show some love - it’s greatly appreciated and full of great insight from David. He mentioned it on the show so it’s fine to tease - he’s got new Ontario and Fed numbers coming in the Star tonight. Can’t wait to see it - and I’ll probably have a column about them tomorrow morning.

Column probably coming tonight on something other than the pollster wars as well, once I take a couple strategic deployments from the Scrimshaw Strategic Rum Reserve.
