I like to think that those fiscally conservative calgarians are not a monolithic group. There are many, like myself, who are 0% likely to give Smith their vote. I also think many are sensible enough to see that the recent UCP pre-election vote-buying policies show the "UCP is the budget conscious party" narrative is pure BS.

Is it strange that relatively prominent PC holdovers like Ric McIver aren’t entrusted with Smith’s message of moderation? It seems one side or the other is refusing to engage. Maybe both?

80 bucks a year is pretty steep for the one article a month - this one, that is worth reading. I might donate a lesser amount of it was offered.
