I think too that the NDP should be calling her on her BS statements - "We are not campaigning on the Sovereignty Act and whatever other stupid ideas we campaigned to become leader on" We will talk about them after the election, should terrify anyone with half a brain!

You’re right that the NDP hasn’t been flawless, either in the run-up to the election or their messaging once it kicked off. But they shouldn’t have to be. The idea that they need to run a perfectly flawless four years and campaign to be an acceptable alternative to the UCP dumpster fire for “moderate” Alberta voters says more about those voters than it does about the NDP.

I think Smith’s biggest flaws are her erratic behaviour in and that she doesn’t know how to filter out wrong info from good info. The ABNDP on one hand should focus on how they provided strong leadership on various issues throughout their four years in power. They should also point out how smith has been a complete disaster in every position she has been in. I haven’t seen them do this yet. I hope they start to do this. They should also focus less on the wild stuff smith has said and if they do focus on this stuff they should tie it to the issues of the day.

Does Alberta have a statute suppressing third-party electoral advertising?

Of what particular ‘Value’ are ‘Polls’ that are really just ‘Headline News Media’ ?

What % of Eligible Albertan Voters even ‘see the Headline ? ie ‘the Penetration thereof’ ?

Much less read the miscellaneous Twitter or other Social Media explanation

the ‘degree of certainty’.. or whatever explains/defends who was ‘polled’

I will stress yet again.. That Albertans will only Vote for Candidates in their Ridings

Perhaps it will shock Albertan’s & the rest of Canada eh ?

My question is whether the Riding Voters where she parachuted into via by-election

will still vote for her ! She ‘won’ with a margin of about 1.5 %

I say the very same re Carleton Riding Voters re Pierre4PM

In Ms Smith’s case I’d like to see the actual Vote % splits, turnout

and who else ‘bled off NDP support..

This is a Historic Provincial Election - & Historic Riding Election in myriad ways most people may not realize

Same re the eventual Federal Election - ‘On or Before October 20, 2025’

whether Pierre or not the Harper CPC is already Campaigning Nationally

but dares not do so in Carleton Riding..

Whatever the ‘Laurentian Elite’ (whomever ever they are) purportedly ‘regard Alberta as’ - hardly seems relevant

What The Voters of Smith’s convenient Riding are talking about.. as well as the rest of Alberta

in offices, schools, public transit, churches, laundromats, bars, on or off shift in hospitals,

Boardrooms, gyms, shower rooms, feed stores, grocery stores, via Twitter - Facebook or daycare,

dentist offices, curling rinks.. is what matters.. and will actually ‘VOTE’

Love your emphasis on the Reality.. this shouldn’t even be close..

but ‘this is the condition our condition is in’ eh !

Keep up the fine work.. fine Journalism m’man !
