I think Evan is right. Make this scandal relate to everything else they do that is fucked up.. Reduce education funding so thaat Ford can help his friends, don't recruit nurses, because Ford is to busy helping his friends. Every negative thing this government does relates to Ford helping his pals
Can the Ontario left handle the changes proposed today (Tues Sep 5)? The original 15 pieces, identified to Amato in brown envelopes, are easy to understand, as are the $8.3 billions in profit ramifications. The 700-800 open applications? Seems like a great way to overwhelm communications, particularly if the "process is handled correctly" (which shouldn't be too hard if cabinet approves at the end anyway). The ONDP would need to carry the ball to start, and how much would they try to throw Crombie under the bus at the same time as poking the OPC?
I hope someone can convince me that the OPC hasn't found a way to get everything they could ever dream for their benefactors. (fully paved Greenbelt? certainly sir, here it is... please remember us when you cash in the land...)
I think this is spot on. It is not enough to say that Ford is corrupt. Deep down the voters have always known this. People gave him a pass, because Ford was able to portray it as the common guy, one of you, trying to get a little ahead.
It is vital to frame the Ford corruption as “what does this mean for you”. And the left needs to be as ruthless and persistent as Poilievre is with claiming that the federal deficit is a direct cause for inflation.
However, I don’t think this is really a concern for Ford. He is not worried about the opposition. Or his own caucus. He is, and should be, worried about the RCMP. There are too many people involved in this scandal. Somewhere people will have made a mistake and left a trail that leads to the former drug dealer. And as these investigations take some time, it is good that 2026 is still a few years away.
The Ontario Liberals might win the next election, but I don't see this scandal as being that much of an impediment for the PC's. The next election is a long way away, and the public has a short memory. I think crime, health care and housing availability will be the main factors. It may also depend on who is in power federally. The teachers are always complaining, so most people just tune them out.

Evan, why are you not scooped up by the opposition as a paid consultant? Seriously
The #FordFather will never willingly leave, June 4 2026 is when the 57% can end this, maybe.
