Crombie will be the final nail in the casket of the OLP if she is elected. Bonnie stands for nothing but Bonnie. This is literally a battle between the old guard (way of thinking) and the next generations who are tired of waiting for their fair share.
What is the ‘cut-through’ you would have pursued if you were Leader of the Official Opposition (that she is not actively pursuing)? Genuinely curious… Or do you think she has tried to pursue it but failed?
And if politicians like Crombie are happy to serve the large majority who either already have home equity or rent but do not wish to own, what position would you take / what platform would you advance that would create a new majority in favour of actions leading to more accessible housing?
(To be clear, I am fully supportive of your ends - just help me understand your superior means).
I really want at least one of the larger provinces to elect someone with a modern housing plan. Maybe if we watch things get better one place, it will increase pressure on other regions and governments to pull their heads out of their asses
The Liberals need a leader with a vision, trying to coast on not being Doug Ford clearly isn’t working and that’s all Bonnie Crombie seems to be bringing to the table. That’s why Doug Ford and his conservatives keep winning imo, they have a vision for the future of the province which is something a growing province really needs, and I mean it’s not a great vision and they don’t seem all that capable of bringing it to light but fuck man at least it’s an ethos.

Elect politicians with an actual housing policy for everyone like Nate https://www.meetnate.ca/policy/housing/
