But it seems to be the case all over the world. In several countries similar motions have been proposed and sometimes adopted. And this is followed by people saying the people in support or against the motion that the other side supports group A too much and do not recognize the hardship for group B enough.
Ok, here’s a question (and I’m stealing from the Finebaum show here) how many recent Canadian leaders, provincial or federal, are in power through multiple elections because they “ain’t played nobody Evan”? Trudeau falls under this list, Ford too

I think the thing lost upon you and all of your comfortable commenters is that activism is ineffective until it isn’t and that history forgets that ineffective activism still moves the Overton window.
