Oddly enough I think It might be the debate thing that trips him up.

He will have to attend the official debates when the writ is dropped; otherwise, the Liberals will go even more apeshit over his secrecy, his unwillingness to discuss ideas, etc. etc.

And yes, there might be a split on the right and that would be fine. Majority governments? Not really a fan anymore; getting agreements cross-party is great, assuming that one wants to _find_ agreement, of course.

Assuming you're correct in the PP-led Conservative party wanting to get rid of Rempel Garner (and I have no reason to dispute that claim), it serves as an indication of how far to the right they have swung if she doesn't fit in with their vision.

Poilievre can win a general election if we are still in an economic recession when the election is called. Notice I didn’t say in 2025. Liberals cannot run on their record; it stinks. Their only saving grace was they half-assed their way through Covid and did better than Trump. I am an undecided with my ballot right now but wondering if I’m a Tory Left that you describe? I am still trying to figure out why PP is so “dangerous” since I haven’t really been paying close attention until now. Where are those receipts? Because he walked down a street with a veteran? Come on. Trudeau had Joshua Boyle in his goddamn PMO office and bowed to the President of Iran after a horrific terrorist attack of a commercial airliner that killed Canadians. Do we want to draw those comparisons in PR??

I’ll be honest, I just wanna see Scott Reid lose his shit when PP wins and drop all his pearls.

Loving the articles.

Lisa Raitt lost her seat and she has praised Poilievre and wished him well several times. Conservative elected MPs will fall into line for Skippy. Scheer, for example, now spews the same rhetoric as Skippy because he covets a cabinet seat, or a shadow cabinet role which would pay him more. This is a man who used campaign donations to fund his personal life. Michael Chong who is usually called the ethical con has mostly always supported whoever the leader is and I don't see that changing. The party is wingnut central now and if Poilievre thinks he can play the extremist to win the leadership, then persuade Canadians he never meant the things he said, he's not going to succeed.
